Quality Care Through the Generations
Daniel Goldstein, M.D. may have officially begun his medical career at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, but even as a young boy he knew he wanted to be a physician. A native of Connecticut and driven by his desire to focus on women’s health care, Dr. Goldstein completed his ObGyn residency at Hartford Hospital where he gained extensive experience in high risk pregnancy management, minimally invasive surgery, and ultrasound. Combined with technical experience previously gained while working at IBM as a computer consultant, Dr. Goldstein offers a distinctive level of women’s health care for patients.
As opportunities to provide patients with state-of-the-art care continued to grow, Dr. Daniel Goldstein joined Candlewood Center for Women’s Health in 2002. He was drawn to the diversity of women’s health services offered and knew Candlewood’s focus on comprehensive and personal care would be a great fit.
Today Dr. Goldstein not only serves as the Director of Candlewood’s AIUM accredited Ultrasound Unit, but he is a member of the Women’s Health Connecticut (WHC) IT steering committee, which helps prioritize the technology needs for WHC’s affiliated practices. Additionally, he is a certified trainer for both in-office endometrial ablation and permanent birth control procedures.
When asked what he loves the most about what he does, Dr. Goldstein shared that it is in the variety of ways he can help women each day. May it be addressing a woman’s infertility issues, showing a soon-to-be-mother her baby’s image on ultrasound, delivering babies, or proficiently performing an in-office, minimally invasive surgery; each one is equally rewarding. Outside of the office, Dr. Goldstein and his wife, who also is a practicing ObGyn within our network, have three children.
Focusing on patient comfort through advanced care, Dr. Goldstein can perform endometrial ablation (for heavy bleeding) and permanent birth control in the office with no hospital stay at all. Dr. Goldstein’s clinical proficiency and dedication to excellence epitomize why Candlewood Center for Women’s Health represents obstetrics and quality care for all generations of women at their best.
Candlewood Center Women’s Health is a comprehensive women’s health center in Danbury that consists of seven highly skilled ObGyns, and a Certified Nurse Midwife. New patients are welcome!
