The Candlewood Difference….
The Candlewood Center for Women’s Health Medical Staff consists of highly skilled Board Certified Obstetricians and Gynecologists dedicated to providing preeminent patient care. Our physicians are highly skilled and trained surgeons who perform Laparoscopic and Robotic gynecologic surgery, as well as the most current in-office surgical procedures such as Novasure endometrial ablation for heavy bleeding, and Essure and Adiana permanent birth control.
Our practice is devoted to personalizing your pre-natal and birthing experience based on your specific needs and expectations, and to providing a continuum of care ranging from low risk to high risk perinatal management. In addition, Candlewood was one of the first groups in the country to incorporate Midwifery care into private practice. Karen Davidson, C.N.M. has been with us for over thirty-five years, and exemplifies the philosophy of the American College of Nurse Midwives, “With Women Throughout Life”.
Candlewood consistently strives to meet the needs of every patient and to provide services in the most convenient manner possible. With this is mind, all of our services are located in one facility, including a Quest laboratory for testing ordered by one of our Candlewood Providers.
Because we realize patients may need us outside of normal business hours, we have a physician on call twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week at Danbury Hospital for both Obstetrics, as well as for Gynecologic emergencies.
Our team also includes highly skilled sonographers who provide the highest quality gynecologic and obstetric imaging, including First Trimester Genetic Screening. Only sonographers who have met stringent criteria can become certified for this sophisticated test. In addition, our experienced nursing team is committed to facilitating and coordinating your obstetric and gynecologic care.
Our Practice Management team is led by our Chief Operating Officer, Valerie Martin, M.P.H., and is dedicated to ensuring that your experience at Candlewood meets and exceeds your expectations.
