Jorge Casquero, MD
Dr. Casquero has conducted research and provided care to women in multiple hospitals and practices across the US and internationally, including Peru. As the home base for his medical training, he completed his medical education at Cayetano Heredia University in Lima. Continuing across the country, he has practiced in places such as Miami, Philadelphia, and also New York for his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Jamaica Hospital.
Dr. Casquero has been published multiple times for his research related to women’s health topics including birth control, pregnancy, labor, preeclampsia, and cancer. Has been awarded Student Teacher of the Year twice at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and received an Award for Excellence in both Obstetrics and Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery.
Building upon his capacity to build strong relationships with his patients, he speaks Spanish and conversational French. Dr. Casquero joined Candlewood Center for Women’s Health in 2019.
