Shoreline OB GYN
At Shoreline OB GYN we provide gynecology care for women of all ages at any stage of their lives. We are confident that we can address your needs and concerns while offering the best care available.
State and national standards of care are the framework for our prenatal care. Prenatal care is a woman's choice and we strive to enable her to enjoy her pregnancy as an informed and educated patient. All reasonable options are explored. We provide all levels of care from routine to high risk pregnancy, incorporating ultrasound for accurate determination of gestational age, number of babies and health of the fetus. Ultrasound is a tool that allows us to evaluate the fetus in the office setting.
Shoreline OB GYN physicians have knowledge and experience to implement the latest technology and best practices in the labor and delivery setting. We are skilled at vaginal delivery, vacuum and forceps assisted vaginal birth and cesarean section. We are equally comfortable in the low risk delivery as we are in managing the high risk case. Your options in childbirth will be discussed with you so that you can partner in your care and your birth experience.

Labor and Delivery - What to Expect
Your experience will begin in the early labor triage area where you will be greeted by a labor nurse. She will monitor your contractions, vital signs and your baby's heart rate and response to labor with a Philips fetal monitor. We are able to view this tracing in the hospital and remotely if need be, via the use of GE's Centricity Perinatal monitoring system. We work very closely with the hospital staff to provide you and your family with the best of care.
Epidurals and pain management options will be discussed in detail as you approach your due date. Stadol, which can be administered through your IV, helps to manage pain during early labor. We work closely with the anesthesiologists who provide epidural analgesia for those women who choose this option.
Cesarean Section A C-section is a surgical procedure in which a baby is delivered through an incision in the mother's abdomen. Nearly one in three women in the U.S. delivers her baby by C-section, either for elective reasons or because of a risk to mother or child. If a C-Section is required, you can rest assured that we will guide you every step of the way.
Although your menstruation may have stopped, your gynecologic care is still a priority. Shoreline OB GYN treats women over their entire lifespan. Our postmenopausal healthcare encompasses screening for breast, cervical and ovarian cancer. We manage issues many women experience with menopausal symptoms, sexual health, and bone density. We also offer BRCA analysis, the genetic screening to determine a women’s risk of developing breast or ovarian cancer.
