High Risk Pregnancy

Perinatology is a subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology for pregnancies that are, or could be considered high-risk because of a problem experienced by either the mother or the fetus. Physicians who practice perinatology are also referred to as maternal-fetal medicine specialists and have acquired specialized education beyond their Ob Gyn training. The perinatology team typically consists of accredited ultrasonographers, nurses and genetic counselors. Referrals are made to our network of these specialists. We currently have one participating practice and are growing this service to meet our patient’s needs.

Long-Term Birth Control

If you are looking to move away from traditional daily or monthly birth controls, our knowledgeable physicians and clinicians are here to help you determine if a long-term birth control method is best for you. While all of our practices provide Intrauterine Device (IUD) insertion, only a few currently implant the contraceptive rod. This single-rod progestin implant provides up to three years of pregnancy prevention and is inserted under the skin of the upper arm. Our skilled physicians provide this service in the office or at an affiliated out-patient facility. Contact one of our participating practices to learn more.

Robotic Surgery

Robotic surgery performed by our physicians provides an alternative to both traditional open surgery and conventional laparoscopy, placing a surgeon's hands at the controls of a state-of-the-art robotic platform. The minimally invasive robotic system enables surgeons to perform even very complex and delicate procedures through very small incisions with excellent precision. The result offers less postoperative pain and a quicker recovery. Contact us to find out if you can benefit from the use of this technique.

Vasectomy & Male Infertility

Any man who is convinced that he does not want another child or any children is a candidate for Vasectomy. Our board certified urologist, Dr. Scott Matson specializes in state of the art, no-needle, no-scalpel vasectomy and microscopic vasectomy reversal. Expected recovery time is typically 2 to 3 days and these procedures are virtually painless with these advanced vasectomy techniques.

Male infertility is not rare, 30% of the time the male partner alone is the source of infertility. By simply providing health and reproductive history, and undergoing a physical exam, Dr. Matson can begin to evaluate your level of fertility. It is common to have at least 2 semen analyses done in addition to some basic lab tests.

For personable, skilled, and knowledgeable male reproductive care, contact Dr. Scott Matson.
