Farmington Chamber of Commerce awards the Center for Advanced Reproductive Services

Farmington, CT, April 26, 2016… The 50th Annual Awards Dinner, hosted by the Farmington Chamber of Commerce, honors community and business leaders. This year’s Distinguished Business of the Year Award will be presented to The Center for Advanced Reproductive Services, an academic affiliate of UCONN School of Medicine.

According to Cindy Scoville, Executive Director of the Farmington Chamber of Commerce and President and CEO of the Central CT Chambers of Commerce, the Distinguished Business of the Year Award is given to businesses that have made a substantial contribution to the community, have employees who individually and collectively participate in the community, and the physical presence of the business adds to the economic vitality and livability of our community. Paul Verrastro, Chief Operating Officer of the Center, stated: “I can’t imagine a more meaningful contribution to a community than to help build its families. This award truly honors our patients who inspire us on a daily basis to be the type of organization worthy of such recognition.”

The Center for Advanced Reproductive Services has grown to be the largest and the most successful fertility centers in the state, and among the best in the country, offering many advanced techniques to help patients achieve successful pregnancies. Started in 1984, the Center now has over 75 full and part time staff members and several office locations throughout the state of Connecticut, including its new, world-class facility located at 2 Batterson Park Road in Farmington, custom designed by a team of international fertility experts and local advisors. In addition to the facility’s numerous technological innovations, the overall design philosophy was focused on enhancing the patient’s comfort and convenience.

The awards will be presented on Wednesday, May 18, at Farmington Gardens, Farmington. This year the Farmington Chamber is proud to have Commissioner Kevin B. Sullivan as the featured speaker. Commissioner Sullivan previously served as Connecticut’s Lt. Governor and State Senate President Pro Tempore.
