Video: Women's Health Connecticut Sounds Alarm on Women Missing Annual Exams

Dr. Matthew Saidel, Women's Health Connecticut's Chief Medical Officer, appeared on NBC Connecticut and Fox 61 to bring awareness to the dangers of skipping routine health exams, like women's annual wellness exams.

“Women forget their annual visits to their OB/GYNs, and they're late for their mammograms. If it's a month late or two months late, it may not make much difference. But when time starts to go by, and it's 18 months or even a couple of years, things happen,” Dr. Saidel said.

Time is critical when it comes to early detection of breast or cervical cancer. If you are late in scheduling your well-woman exam, contact your WHC provider.
